- What are the skills needed to participate ?
- We assume that you are familiar with any programming language and in writing and de-bugging programs.
We dont assume anything else. The other skills needed you will develop it on the way. - Who can be a faculty mentor ?
- The main role of the mentor is to motivate the students for clearing the tasks in the first round, help you stay focused and get the necessary resources for learning(eg: internet connection, other hardware resources if you need them.)
- Do I need to travel to take part ?
- You can participate from your own college. No other travel is necessary.
- Can I form a team with my friends from other colleges ?
- No, all the students must be studying in the same college. You can, however, form teams comprising of students from different branches as long as they are from your college.
- I just graduated from college. Can I participate ?
- Currently, this contest is open to students enrolled in a College/University in India.
- I am not able to find a team partner. Can I participate on my own ?
- The minimum team size is three and maximum team size is five.
- Is running a hacking contest ethical ?

Ethical hacking contests are increasingly becoming popular.
What is the aim of this contest ?
- Promote awareness about cyber security among the student community.
- Get students hands on experience in secure coding practices.
- Get students interested in a career in information security.
- Is this the first CTF-style hacking contest in India ?
- There have been a some CTF styled contests that have been advertised to have been conducted. But they were conducted along with conferences which required a exorbitant amount of money to be paid in order to attend and participate which usually hinders many students from taking part. Also it is not really clear if it involved offense, defense and rewarding ethical behaviour. They also needed to be physically present at the venue to take part restricting the number of participants.
So to the best of our knowledge there has not been a CTF style national level ethical hacking contest in which students could take part from any part of India with out having to travel or spend a lot of money. Thus making this India’s First National Level CTF style Ethical Hacking contest.

- We dont have it up yet, but we could get you a torrent file upon request.
